Help Needed

hi there its my first post here and i need some help (sorry if im on the wrong board).

in march 2005 i was very weak spiritualy and began to read apostate litterature.

by one month i was wishing to quit the wts.

Dearest young man, feel the precious love that God has for you. It is all about love. There is no fear in Gods awesome love. 2 Timothy 1:7 For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.

Dearest Genesis;

You do not have to fear leaving the Watchtower. The Watchtower admits it is not infallible or devine or inspired. The Bible claims to be. You do not have to throw your Bible away (maybe even collect many versians), you do not have to leave your relationship with Jehovah.

Your relationship will change and evolve into a more healthy one. One where you learn to hear the voice of God in your heart as He leads you through life personally. Luke 17:21 Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

I suggest two things; first, you should get counseling for your mixed feelings, very important. Second, get a Strongs Exhaustive Concordance, and start researching key words one at a time. For example; look up the word "Kingdom" and read what the word means in Greek, what the word looks like in Greek, and search every example of how the word is used in the New Testament. Compare different Bibles.

There is so much confusion in the Body of Christ because of misinterpreted Scriptures. IF we believe the Bible is valid, then we need to interpret it one way; the way it was meant to be taken when it was written! The Watchtower has misinterpreted it many times over the years and has admitted it. There is no "New Light" in 2000 years. The Bible has been here, the Apocripha has been here, and related writings like Josephus and Tertulian and many others for aprx 2000 years!

i can't beleive that some people are actually agreeing with this illustration...it's sickening.

i don't know if any of you had the displeasure to read the dec 1 2005, watchtower?

(page 6) with the nice subject of harmageddon.. well, one paragraph is about "how can a loving god make war?

WOW I knew December's issue was gonna be good. The November 15th issue had a subliminal picture of a dog/beast? on Jesus chest on page 13 and they said December was gonna be about Armageddon. Hubby just said the issue is at church he forgot to being it to me!!! (was home sick) now I have to wait. My church friends bring me magazines when the dubs visit.I may have a copy in my po box too..better go check it. That is so over the top. COCKROACHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

there are many here who have been shunned or dis-owned by family members who are jehovah's witnesses.

the pain, hurt and agony over this treatment wreaks havock in our lives and at times to the point of being unbearable.

after much deliberation and thought i came to the conclusion that for me to be able to "move on" in my own life i needed to express my feelings and be heard on some level by my family.

Has there been a recent change in policy concerning association with the disfellowshipped. It seems like recently there have been more active JWs talking to disfellowshipped members. I know of several. Did they get some new light this Fall?

I'd love to see it! I just spent a few hours roaming around a small town while my wife and kids visited with her JW parents. It was actually fun, but it sucked that I simply wasn't allowed to come into their home.

Dave that did suck! That is really sweet that you allow yourself to be shunned so your wife can see them. You sure take it well. Hope they wake up and tell you how sorry they are when they find out how totally wrong that is. When will they EVER learn what love is????? sorry I'm just hatin' it fer ya...

I just read your deeply touching letter to my husband. He knows very little about what we have gone through as JWs, your letter just gave him a big dose of the reality most of us have faced. Were so sorry for what you have been through. Love~Kate

I can't do it. Am I supposed to?

she's not doing anything wrong, just experiencing the normal ups and downs and unplanned surprises of marriage.

You deserve to recieve unconditional love, and you deserve to feel free to give it. Sometimes such a simple concept as unconditional love gets tangled and shaded. It sounds like you have to set boundaries with them. You will have to have some quiet introspection and decide where they are crossing over your personal boundaries. I agree with the counseling suggestion. I had several different types of therapies after JWs and I still have anger issues.

You can't contol what your parents are going to do, or feel, towards you. You can only control how you react to what they do. Family dynamics are intense and family birth order plays a part in how they treat you and your sister. As long as they are under the control of the org you cannot trust what they will do, but you can trust yourself and how you will deal with it.

Don't be sad. It will get better.

Look what I just did to my kitten!

she would not stop clawing everything, no matter what i tried.

i'd like to avoid declawing if at all possible.

i found these rubber tips online and glued them to her claws.

I once had a cat declawed and being an animal lover was horrified at what happened. The vet was the best and it was just a common complication, which is why it is outlawed in Europe I believe..?

My poor kitty's bones stuck out through the surgery..uuhhg it was horrid. I felt so bad. I became educated that it is not the simple surgery I thought it was, so very painful for poor kitty. Dangerous because it is a cats nature to want out. A declawed kitty outside is a sitting duck for every roaming dog, or coyote.

Those fingernail caps are great! I haven't used them but have heard positive feedback from those that have. Training a cat with a water bottle spray is the best way, most cats learn from it unless your name is Homer and you are the reincarnation of a bad comedian who whole purpose in life is pissing people off. He would knock stuff over and then play in the water I sprayed at him.
